“Malcolm S. Spencer” she mocked as she hit print on her computer. “Lets pray you have more common sense than the last guy”. She had about 45 minutes until he was to arrive. She grabbed her MK bag and strolled outside to the food truck that shared the parking lot.

Tonya tried getting along with her day but Jess wasn’t making it easy. Every five minutes she was either bending over pretending to get something or calling her into her office to ask a redundant question. I mean they had fun but that’s all it was to Tonya, fun. She just liked the touch of a woman every now and then. Plus, she had been single for a while, no kids and a top broker at the firm. She deserved to let her hair down.

The sound of an incoming email snapped her out of her thoughts. It was the interview scheduled for that day. Jess was more than capable of doing the interviews alone but since they were hiring for another broker she insisted Tonya sit in as well.

About the time she finished her meal and was walking back to the building she noticed a very handsome and dark melanated man crossing the street going into the same building she was. He greeted her with a gorgeous white smile as he held the door open for her. Surely this fine ass man was not headed to Top Notch she thought to herself. They stepped in the elevator and she caught a whiff of something delicious he was wearing. Her nostrils flared as she took a deep inhale.

“Three please.” she stated

Malcolm cleared his throat and pressed the button again as if it wasn’t already lit. He chuckled. After that mornings shenanigans Malcolm made it a habit to check the window periodically. So he saw her walk to the vendor, he also saw her place her order and flirt with the taco guy. She was confident, something you don’t find too much in thicker women. She sat alone and enjoyed her own company, rarely picking up her phone she just watched people as they walked by. The sun beaming down on her beautiful almond skin. He was in awe.

He dressed in his black Armani tailored suit, checking his appearance before grabbing his portfolio.

Tonya excited the elevator first and walked through the doors to her office. She could hear the receptionist asking the gentleman his name. She was so happy he could not see her face as she heard him say “Malcolm Spencer. Here for an interview at 2:00.”

Malcolm was perfect on paper and in person. Top of his class in college. And he was looking for a permanent position. He was new to the area which was his only strike against him. Since they were branching out into business developments, Jess really needed someone who knew the area. She could tell Tonya was won over by him. She lit up as he talked, making sure to compliment him on being prepared for the interview.

“Thanks Mr. Spencer for coming in, we’ll be in touch.” standing up, Jess extended her hand to his. When Tonya extended hers she felt how smooth they were. He squeezed her hand with the perfect amount of force. Showing off his dimples she could feel her cheeks flush with redness.

He didn’t want to let go. She captivated him. It was something about her energy and the way she looked at him. It unnerved and made him feel safe at the same time. As he exited the building he was feeling great. Until he saw Wanda standing beside a moving truck parked on the curb, along with some familiar furniture.
